Watch size guide: what size watch suits me?

Watch size is the case diameter in millimetres, excluding the crown. A 39 mm watch is a classic size that suits most men's wrists, usually slimmer wrists too, and women who like a watch with presence. As a rule of thumb, the lugs should not overhang your wrist when seen from above.
How to measure your wrist
- Take a thin strip of paper, a string or a soft tape measure.
- Wrap it where you wear a watch, usually just above the wrist bone.
- Mark where the ends meet, without pulling tight or leaving it loose.
- Lay it flat and measure with a ruler.

20 mm lug width
Lugs are the arms the strap attaches to; lug width is the distance between them, which is the strap width. Ours is 20 mm, one of the most common sizes, so replacement straps are easy to find. Our leather straps have quick-release spring bars for tool-free changes.

How tight? Snug enough not to spin, with room for one finger. Wrists swell slightly in an Israeli summer, so do not over-tighten.
